Choose the case that holds the disc and the printed pieces inside it, and the shape of your album is set.
Every step is done by hand. Discs are printed with UV-cured inkjet, so colors are vivid and the surface resists scratches. We burn at the slowest 1:1 speed and remove defects during production.
A stamper is made from a glass master, and retail-standard CDs are pressed from it. Disc surfaces are offset or silkscreen printed.
The audio CD standard (1982) holds only the audio and the track order. There is no room for cover art or lyrics, so a player showing “Track 1, Track 2” is normal.
Track, album and artist names can be added as CD-TEXT, but only in English letters and numbers. No manufacturer can write Korean or other non-Latin titles onto a CD. CD-TEXT only shows on players that support it, and ordinary duplication often leaves it out.
The titles and cover art you see on a PC or in a car come from online music databases, not from the CD itself. The player looks the album up by its combination of track lengths.
Once your master is final, we give you the disc ID and show you how to register titles, artist and cover art in public databases such as MusicBrainz. Once registered, supporting PC music software shows your titles and cover (car audio and iTunes use different databases, so we cannot guarantee those).
DDP is the master format sent to pressing plants. Instead of burning a master CD, we send the plant a DDP verified file by file, so there are no burn or read errors and English CD-TEXT goes in complete.
Every master is compared byte by byte with the original audio and checked once more with plant inspection tools before it is sent. We have built masters for a great many albums since 2007.
What to prepare: album, artist and track names in English, the cover image, and if you have them, the UPC (barcode) and an ISRC for each track.
